This Tuesday, high school students from Robinson and Marshall Academy attended a field trip to the FBI’s Washington Field Office to see how the FBI uses science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to solve crimes and keep our country safe. Kids toured the Mobile Command Bus (MCB), where FBI executives control agents across the country in a mobile vehicle. These MCB’s exist across the country in Chicago, Los Angelos, Seattle, and New York City. Next, the students were shown special cameras used by the FBI that appeared like alarm clocks to smoke detectors. Next the FBI spoke about evidence analysis, collection, and processing. After a pizza lunch, the kids were shown the control center for the FBI’s Washington Field Office, where all of the complaints and report are processed. Overall, WHS received excellent feedback and everyone had an enjoyable time.
